About Factory Lodge
The factory was completed in 1874 as Denmark's first sugar factory.
In 1960 the factory was converted into a paper mill that existed until 1993. The buildings were then empty for several years, and in 2005 the buildings were bought by a private investor. Højbygaard Paper Mill has since gone through an extensive renovation and cleanup of the surrounding areas. Thus came The Visual Climate Center in 2011 and then The Factory Lodge in 2013.
The buildings and the atmosphere of the old factory are unchanged, but the interior is very modern and a great setting for conferences and meetings with its several bright, well-equipped conference rooms.
